I am inspired by a vision of a culture of birth that honours women’s right to choose what they want for their births, and also empowers mothers to trust their instincts and intuition both in birthing and in parenting.
I aim to create a friendly and non-judgemental space for women to come together and share in their journeys. Birth may take many forms, and I am particularly interested in how the practice of openness and active relaxation can help us to relate to whatever happens on our birthing and parenting journeys.
I live with my husband and two sons in Bishopston. My first child was born by emergency Caesarean at Southmead. My second was born at home (VBAC – vaginal birth after Caesarean). My other interests include Buddhist meditation, allotment gardening, paleo diet/lifestyle, herbal medicine and cooking.
